Trying a different approach to light the beer in the glass. Lit the beer from above and behind. Inspired by and trying a twist on the latest Strobist tip ... I will have to try cutting out a glass shape paper diffuser and stand it up lit Hobby did in his shot and fire a strobe straight into the back of the glass. The reflection from the bottom of the glass is kinda neat, but it is a pretty hot highlight. a more diffuse highlight would be probably work better.

Using a white card opens up the shadows on the left side of the bottle, but it feels like direct lighting would give that side a little more pop.

Channeling my inner Hasselblad by using a square format. I think it works better than a landscape or portrait crop.
