Lighting the Background Redux

Part deux. Last time I lit the background, but then I increased the contrast in post so it just went black again. This time I lit up the background quite significantly, and I was conscientious about not being a knucklehead when processing so I would negate my efforts. Here it is:

Ok, this time I did not make the background disappear by boosting the contrast. 

I did light the background with a small strip light from below. I do enjoy the falloff of the light. As far as lighting for the beer goes, the shadow side of the label is a little dark. This partly results from the key light being too far behind the beer. I was trying for a rim lighting effect, but I think I got carried away.
